A brief history

Present day

  • Ruth is currently off discovering new and amazing things (mainly monsters)and has many new stories to tell, monsters to share and exhibitions to be found at - keep your eyes peeled.

May 2014

  • The monsters travel to LA to be shown as part of the Grace & Ritual: Hidden exhibition at Iam8bit. Grace and Ritual is an all woman art show featuring over 30 female artists, the show made its debut appearance in 2013 and was so well received they decided to make it an annual event. This years theme 'Hidden' encompasses secrets, things that go unnoticed and internal things that are hard to see.

December 2013

  • Ruth gave up her day job, and stopped trying to be the person she wasn't. Which was one of the best things she's ever done, and can highly recommend it - note to self: 'Life's too short to become wrapped up in commercial and meaningless politics.'

January 2010

  • Ruth tried to grow up and get a real job doing sensible designer things. Which kept her busy and out of trouble (mainly out of trouble) for the next three years. New skills were learnt, knowledge was acquired and new and fun designs of all manners were created.

November 2009
  • A limited edition of the book 'Monsters of the Household Variety' is released in Antropolgie stores across the US and London, as well as wall hangings. Anthropologie is an aspirational lifestyle brand who produced life sized hand embroidered duplicates of the book, which were scarily close to the original designs.
